About the congress

Located in the heart of Gangnam, COEX Convention & Exhibition Center is one of Asia’s leading convention and exhibition venues, surrounded by hotels, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment facilities. Its central location and excellent public transportation connections make it a convenient and attractive venue for international congresses and events.
Yes, at COEX Convention & Exhibition Center(opens in new tab), parking facilities are located within the Exhibition Centre, divided into four color-coded zones (GREEN, PURPLE, BLUE, ORANGE) for easy access.

Seoul is served by two major international airports: Incheon International Airport (ICN) and Gimpo International Airport (GMP). Of these, Incheon International Airport is the main gateway for international travellers arriving from destinations around the world. Located approximately 55 kilometres (34 miles) west of COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, Incheon International Airport offers convenient access to Seoul via a range of transportation options.
The journey from Incheon International Airport to COEX typically takes around 60–90 minutes, depending on traffic and the chosen mode of transport. Visitors can travel by airport limousine bus, taxi, or private transfer, while the AREX airport railway and Seoul subway network provide a convenient public transportation alternative. COEX is directly connected to Samseong Station (Seoul Subway Line 2) and Bongeunsa Station (Subway Line 9), making it easily accessible from across the city.
A wide range of accommodation options is available in the immediate vicinity of COEX Convention & Exhibition Center. Several hotels are located within walking distance of the venue, ranging from international five-star properties to comfortable mid-range hotels. Please see our Accommodation page(opens in new tab).
Many of these hotels are within approximately 5–15 minutes' walk of COEX, while the wider Gangnam area offers numerous additional accommodation options with excellent public transport connections. COEX is directly connected to Seoul's subway network, making hotels elsewhere in Seoul easily accessible as well.
About abstracts and registration
Session proposals are currently open. We invite experts from academia, industry, regulatory authorities, NGOs, and other relevant organisations to submit session proposals that align with the WC14 themes.
Session proposals should be submitted through the WC14 online submission portal by 15 September 2026.
The Call for Abstracts will open on 1 December 2026. Further information on the abstract submission process and guidelines will be available on the WC14 website closer to the opening date.
Ready to contribute?
All accepted abstracts submitted by the deadline will be published in the official abstract book. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted or included.
Registration for WC14 Seoul will open on 1 December 2026. Participants will be able to register online through the WC14 registration system.
Further information on registration fees, categories, early-bird rates, and payment options will be available on the Registration page when registration opens. The early-bird registration deadline is 15 June 2027.

Travel grants for Early-career researchers may be available through dedicated WC14 sponsorship. The availability, number, value, eligibility criteria, and application process will depend on sponsor support and will be announced once confirmed.

Does the congress provide Travel Grants?
WC14 may offer travel grants for Early-career researchers, subject to dedicated sponsor support. The number and value of grants, eligibility criteria, and application process will be determined once the relevant sponsorship has been confirmed.

Participants who require a visa will be able to request an invitation letter through the WC14 registration portal. Further information about the process and requirements will be provided when registration opens.

No, WC14 will be a physical, in-person congress. Sessions will not be recorded or made available online. Participants are therefore encouraged to attend the congress in person to experience the full scientific program.
About the program
The WC14 Scientific Program is currently under development. More information will be published as the program takes shape following the session proposal and abstract submission processes.
The Call for Sessions is currently open until 15 September 2026, with session notifications planned for 1 December 2026. The Call for Abstracts will open on 1 December 2026, with abstract notifications expected in the first week of May 2027.
The full program will be published on the WC14 website as soon as it is available.
Yes, satellite events may be organised in conjunction with WC14, subject to availability and approval by the Organising Committee. Satellite events provide an opportunity for organisations and partners to host focused meetings, workshops, or other activities alongside the congress programme.
Further information on available formats, meeting space, costs, and application procedures will be announced in due course.
The date and timing of the Welcome Reception are still to be confirmed and will be announced once the program outline has been finalised.
The Gala Dinner is planned for Wednesday, 18 August 2027 (subject to final program confirmation). Further details, including the timing and venue, will be announced once available.
Miscellaneous
WC14 offers a range of sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for organisations active in the life sciences, biotechnology, toxicology, new approach methodologies (NAMs), and related fields.
Sponsorship packages range from Bronze to Diamond, with additional opportunities available for organisations looking for specific visibility or engagement options. Exhibition-only packages are also available, including dedicated options for start-ups and non-profit organisations.

Media representatives are welcome to attend WC14. Media accreditation will be required, and further information on the accreditation process, eligibility criteria, and requirements will be published closer to the congress.
